How to ll with water

Make sure the iron is turned o and the power cord is

unplugged from the electrical outlet.

1. Set the ‘Variable’ steam knob to the ‘0’ position before

lling the iron with water.

2. Open the ‘Water Fill’ Opening and ll the Tank up to

the ‘MAX’ Line on the tank.

3. The water level can be observed through the

transparent part of the tank, when iron placed vertically,

in case of water level becomes low, rell the tank,

following the procedure described in steps 1 to 3

above.

4. Pour out the remaining water after use.

NOTE

Most tap water can be used in this iron. Do not use water

additives or substitute water such as linen or scented water

in the steam iron, they can stain fabrics or damage the iron.

Do not ll the water more than the ‘MAX’ position.

How to use as dry iron

1. Position the iron vertically.

2. Plug the iron.

3. Set Steam regulating Knob to MIN position.

4. Preheat the iron until the indicator light goes out.

Now dry ironing can begin.

How to use the spray

Before using the spray feature, check the fabric label for

ironing instructions because some fabrics may be spotted

or stained with moisture.

The spray feature is particularly helpful for removing

stubborn wrinkles and where extra dampening is needed.

The spray may be use with steam or dry ironing. Simply

pump the Spray Mist knob when spray is desired.

How to use as steam iron

Fill the iron as described in ‘ How to ll with water’.

1. Position the iron vertically and turn the Temperature

Control Dial to the steam position.

2. Plug the Cord into the electrical outlet.

3. Set the Temperature Control Dial to the steam

position. Steam Ironing is only possible when at higher

temperature settings indicated with ‘MAX’ mark;

otherwise the water will leak from the soleplate.

4. Preheat the iron until the indicator light goes out. The

light will turn o when the indicated setting reaches the

correct temperature.

5. Turn the Temperature regulating knob to the required

setting for dierent types of fabric.

Now steam ironing can begin.

How to use the burst of steam

The burst of steam feature provides additional steam for

removing stubbom wrinkles. It may be used with steam or

fry ironing.

Press the Power Steam button to release the surge of steam.

Pressing the button several times may be necessary to

prime the surge system. Wait a few seconds for the steam

to penetrate the fabric before pressing the button again for

more steam.

NOTE

For optimum steam quality, do not apply more than three

successive shots after the indicator light goes o.

Anti-Calc Function

The anti-calc function is a permanet system loacated inside

the water tank to eliminate impurities from the water and to

reduce the problems connected with limescale build-up.

To prolong the eciency of this system, follow these steps

occasionally:

1. Unplug the iron and allow it to cool down.

2. Locate the water cup that accompanied the iron. Fill it

with water 3/4 full. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to water and

ll the water tank with this solution.

3. Leave the solution in the water tank for 15 minites,

shaking occasionally, and then empty it.

4. Fill the water tank a second time with salt water

solution, shaking occasionally and empty it again after

15 minites.

5. Fill the tank with fresh water to rinse and empty.

Anti-Drip Function

This system controls the water ow to the soleplate at all

times. Below a certain temperature, the anti-drip function

cuts o the ow of water and stops the iron from dripping

onto the fabric.

Auto-Shut O Function

The iron will automatically switch o if it is has not been

moved for a while, usually 30 seconds in level state; 8

minutes in vertical state.

To indicate that the iron has been switched o, the auto-o

indicator light will start blinking.

To heat up the iron again:

1. Pick up the iron or move it slightly.

2. The blue auto-shut o pilot light will go out. The blue

temperature pilot light will come on.

3. When the temperature pilot light had gone out and

comes on again, the irons is ready for use
